Play Hotline Slot at Betchaser Casino
This is for all the fans of the popular Miami Vice crime drama! Hotline is the NetEnt product that will take you back to the 1980’s, where gamers join a couple of Miami detectives that look much like Crockett and Tubs. Like every other crime story, the 2018 release is packed with action, drama, excitement and, of course, lovely mysterious ladies.
Punters will enjoy free spins, re-spins, expanding Wilds and an innovative Hotline Bonus Bet feature. Playable across all devices, the NetEnt title features five reels, three rows and offers 30 fixed paylines that can be played from 15 coins per spin.
The high-end symbols are represented by the three main characters, namely Kitty, Rivera, and Quinn. The low-end symbols are the priceless jewelry pieces (presumably stolen by Kitty) namely the Ruby Crown, Emerald Necklace, and Sapphire Ring.
The maximum win values for 5 symbols on a winning payline are as follows:
- Kitty - 200x Coin Value
- Rivera - 120x Coin Value
- Quinn - 80x Coin Value
- Ruby Crown - 30x Coin Value
- Emerald Necklace - 25x Coin Value
- Sapphire Ring - 20x Coin Value
The Car Chase Wild Symbol will substitute for all symbols (except the Scatter) and will help to complete winning combinations. If a Wild Symbol lands on an active Hotline, it expands to fill the entire reel.
The Sunset Scatter symbol has no payout value, but landing 3 anywhere on reels 1, 3, and 5 will activate the Free Spins Bonus.
Free Spins in Hotline
As mentioned previously, 3 Sunset Scatter Symbols appearing anywhere on reels 1, 3 and 5 in the base game will trigger 7 Free Spins. As the scene changes from day to night, we notice the selected / active Hotlines are carried through to the Free Spins Bonus. If a Wild Symbol lands on an active Hotline, it expands to fill the entire reel and remains locked in place until the end of the Free Spins Bonus. If you are lucky enough to secure Expanded Wilds early in the Free Spins Bonus, you could be in for some HOT cash payouts.
Betting and Prizes
When you’re placing a bet in a game from NetEnt, you’re typically using fixed lines. The game works with 15 fixed lines for the wager, though in actuality you’re going to get 30 active lines from them. You have the level of the bet that you can use to determine how many coins are used per line, up to 10 being allowed. You also have the coin value, which starts from $0.01. The minimum bet that you need to use to get the reels going will be $0.15. At the other end of the range, wagers of $150 or even more should be possible. There should also be the possibility to wager more via the Hotline Bonus Bet, which will be used to activate more Hotlines.
The prizes of the slot are advertised by it, and they can apparently deliver payouts of up to 60,000 coins from a single round. Presumably, that’s for all 30 lines, so the win per combo should be at 2,000 coins, or about $2,000. As a NetEnt slot machine, you can expect at least an average RTP in this very playable slot.
What is the jackpot (max win)?
The maximum win potential is 60 000 coins, or 2000 coins on a single line (30 lines) when played at a maximum bet of 450 coins per spin. Remember the Bonus Bet Feature influences the RTP and volatility of the game. Activating more than one Hotline increases your total bet. The higher the Bonus Bet, the higher the RTP and volatility of the game.

Hotline (NetEnt): Conclusion
Hotline is a well produced game, there is no doubt about that. NetEnt apparently have enormous resources to invest into their productions and the games are looking increasingly like video games. But good looking slots don't reach all the way if the potential and solid game mechanics are not included in the package, and we're not sure it is.
Max win on a single spin appears to be only 400x with a full screen of expanded wilds. However, since these are sticky in the bonus it could in theory pay 2,800x, but that would require to trigger all wilds in the first spin.
When testing the game it didn't take too long to trigger the first bonus, which payed around 50x. After that it was downhill from there. The Re-Spin feature in both main game and bonus is a bit fun and the only thing that keeps this game somewhat interesting, but symbols are low paying and there is no sense of great potential to keep one excited.
The max win limit on this slot is €60 000, or €2000 on a single bet line (30 bet lines). The RTP, meanwhile, in this game varies depending on the number of Hotlines activated: 1 Hotline: 96.13%, 2 Hotlines: 96.70%, and 3 Hotlines: 97.04%
If you enjoy the Hotline slot from NetEnt, be sure to check out the sequel, Hotline 2, as well.
